	What is an extracurricular?
An extracurricular is an extra student activity that goes outside of the school curriculum.
	What types of extracurriculars are there?
Pretty much every sector of schooling life has an extracurricular activity.
	They include;
	        sporting - club sports, school sports, representative sport, sporting lessons
	        academics - mock trial, debating, tournament of the minds, public speaking
	        music - choir, band, singing lessons, instrument lessons, eisteddfods
	        the arts - drama groups, art competitions, musicals, productions, dance lessons,
	acting lessons
	        charity - volunteering, charity work, fundraisers, Girl Guides/Scouts
	Why are they important for students?
It is easy to get caught up in the world of academic success in schools, but the
	schooling experience is about more than just grades! Getting involved in extracurricular activities can help boost confidence, refine
	skills, encourage and develop team work skills and more.
	How do I get my student involved?
	Get in touch with your school or local clubs to find out what extracurricular activity/ies will best suit your learner. Getting your
	child active and engaged can help teach them many socio emotional skills that can better help them in the classroom.
